SLEEP PATTERNS AND WEIGHT

Side pillows:

Tuft & Needle's medium-firm feel combined with the support of a 3-inch foam comfort layer makes it a great choice for most side sleepers. Side sleepers weighing more than 130 pounds may get the best combination of pressure relief and spinal support. They should sink the right amount to relieve pressure on the hips and shoulders while keeping the spine aligned. Side sleepers weighing less than 130 pounds may find the bed a little too firm that they cannot sink to relieve pressure.

Posterior sleepers:

Because of its medium-firm feel, Tuft & Needle can provide the flat plane that many post sleepers rely on to keep their spines aligned. The foam comfort layer cushions the surface without much sinkage around the middle of the bed. Because the mattress uses high-density foam, it should also resist sagging and indentation over time. Tuft & Needle may be best suited for posterior sleepers weighing less than 230 pounds.

Gastric pillows:

Tuft & Needle's foam comfort layer provides comfortable cushioning for stomach sleepers, but its medium-firm feel may not be enough to prevent their hips from sinking, especially if they're carrying extra weight near their abdomen. Gastric sleepers weighing less than 230 pounds may get the support they need. Their hips may sink into the mattress slightly more than ideal, but it's unlikely to be enough for them to notice the pressure on their spine.
